Freeze Scheduled for New Enrollments, Updates and Revalidations

This is an in important update on the transition to the Medicaid Enterprise System. The Virginia Medicaid agency will not accept any new provider enrollments or provider record updates on the current web portal between February 18, 2022, and April 4, 2022. This freeze affects fee-for-service providers who are enrolled or wish to enroll in the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) during this period of time.

This pause is necessary as we move provider data from MMIS to the new Provider Services Solution (PRSS) platform. Providers who wish to submit enrollment applications or need to report updates after February 18, 2022, should wait and submit requests after April 4, 2022, through the new PRSS portal.

Providers with revalidation due dates during this period will have additional time to complete this process. In order to ensure providers have the full 90 days to complete revalidations, Virginia Medicaid will reschedule all revalidation due dates previously scheduled to occur between February 18, 2022, through the end of July 2022. You will receive notice on your new due date for your revalidation at least 90 days prior to your scheduled deadline.

Once revalidations resume, providers will perform this task in PRSS. Watch for updates next month sharing training opportunities to help providers get ready to use the new system.
