Program of All-Inclusive Care
Overview
The Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) helps adults ages 55+ who are living with chronic health care needs and/or disabilities receive community-based health care services and supports. By providing flexibility in how participants' health care needs are met, PACE can often assist people meeting functional nursing home level of care to stay in their own homes and communities longer than otherwise possible.
PACE Requirements
DMAS, as stipulated in the 12VAC30-50-355, requires that any expansion of PACE, shall be on a schedule and within an area determined solely at the discretion of DMAS through a Request for Applications (RFA) process. No organization shall begin any new PACE program without going through the RFA process.
