CHIP Advisory Committee

Overview

The Children’s Health Insurance Program Advisory Committee (CHIPAC) advises the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) and Secretary of Health and Human Resources on policies, operations, and outreach efforts for the Family Access to Medical Insurance Security (FAMIS) and children’s Medicaid programs. The Committee, established by state legislation in 2004, consists of up to 20 members from state agencies, provider associations, children’s advocacy groups, and experts or community members with knowledge and interest in Virginia children’s health coverage.

Scheduled quarterly meetings are open to the public. Meeting information will be posted in advance on the Virginia Regulatory Town Hall website.
