Once You Have a Plan, You Need a Doctor
Once you select your health plan, it’s time to choose your primary care provider (PCP). A PCP is your doctor who provides most of the health care you will need. Your PCP may also refer you to other providers for more specialized care.
Finding a PCP is an important step in taking care of your overall health, and you should make regular visits to see your doctor. Take some time today to find an in-network PCP near you, or reach out to your current PCP to see if she or he accepts Medicaid and is in your plan’s network of providers.
If you have questions about your existing provider or how to find one, you can call the Member Services phone number on your health plan ID card.
