Tammy Whitlock

Deputy of Complex Care

Tammy received her Bachelor’s from Longwood University and her Master’s in Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. Prior to coming to the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) Tammy worked in the areas of physical rehabilitation, mental health, and juvenile justice. Tammy started working with DMAS in 1994 as a Rehabilitation Analyst and has held various management positions in Long Term Care, Maternal & Child Health and Managed Care where she helped to implement the now Commonwealth Coordinated Care Plus program. Tammy currently serves as the Deputy of Complex Care overseeing behavioral health services, Commonwealth Coordinated Care Plus, and all long term care programs such as community based waivers and nursing facilities.
