Richard Rosendahl

Rich Rosendahl has served as DMAS’ Chief Analytics Officer since October 2021 and oversees the Healthcare Analytics Division, Quality and Population Health Division, and Incentive Coordination and Economic Research Division. Prior to joining DMAS, Rich was the Director of Healthcare Analytics at VillageMD and the Vice President of Business Intelligence and Analytics at Virginia Premier Health Plan. He is an experienced executive with a strong history in leading data analytics and process improvement teams in the managed care and value-based care industries where he championed the use of analyses and reporting to highlight opportunities for improvement and intervention that result in organizational savings. He has expertise in data visualization, leadership, forecasting, reporting, strategic planning, and collaboration with operational areas. Rich has a Master’s of Science degree in Statistics from the University of Virginia and two Bachelor’s of Science degrees with honors in Applied Mathematics and Mathematical Economics from Hampden-Sydney College.
