Ivory Banks

Ivory Banks currently serves as the Chief of Staff for the Virginia Medicaid Program (Department of Medical Assistance Services). In this role, Ivory is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Director’s Office, oversee internal agency operations for an effective Virginia Medicaid Program. Under the direction of the Medicaid Agency Director, works collaboratively with the other members of Executive Leadership Team to ensure coordinated, effective, innovative, and streamlined operation processes within the Agency, including strategic initiatives. This includes oversight of workforce development & engagement, emergency & facilities management, Business continuity & efficiencies, Risk Management & Audits, Human Capital & Development, and Public Relations, for the Virginia Medicaid Program.

Prior to her role as Chief of Staff, Ivory served as the Director of Programs & Operations within the Agency where she had oversight of Provider Enrollment, Fee for Service Claims Processing, Non-Emergency Transportation, Member Services Call Centers, and Training. 

Ivory has a strong background in operations, strategic planning, customer service, and organizational development and change. 

Ivory holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Hampton University and a Master of Public Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.
