COVID-19 Vaccine Update: All Adults Now Eligible for a Booster Vaccine

To protect yourself and your family, the Virginia Department of Health recommends that individuals who are 18 and older should receive a booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

  • For the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines, boosters are recommended 6 months after the 2nd dose.
  • For the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, the booster dose is recommended 2 months after the first dose.
